Dinner was interesting, and regrettably I did not take pictures, however, I may go back because seeing is believing. we walked over to the restaurant near the hotel, maybe a hundred yards or so and it had a walk in area full of tanks (fish, lobster, crab, prawn, sea intestine (use your imagination and that is what it looks like but with a mouth!), gooey ducks, oysters, and sea urchins - I am sure I missed a few things...and then there were buckets. Buckets of silk worm chrysalis (still wriggling, mind you) and frogs- frogs looking up at you. These were all alive. So you can pick what you want and get it fresh. Did I mention donkey meat? Needless to say, our guide thought it was a bit interesting as well but we figured that as long as we were in China...No just kidding, we stuck with the standards and had them slaughter a cow at the table. 9^) It was cool to see and allowed us to perk up a bit as the jet lag began to settle in and we went to bed at 6:30 and woke up about 3:30 am.
